About Villa Lage

  • The Villa can accommodate a maximum of 12 people. The use of the house is limited to the number of guests the house can hold, up to 12 people  We do not accept or have capacity for additional beds. For safety reasons, other people are not allowed in the property unless with prior knowledge to the staff if they join in an event or celebration.

  • The villa is rented exclusively as a private home, ensuring complete privacy and personalised service for you and your guests.

Services & Staff

  • Yes. Our private chef prepares daily meals on a 6/7 days bases inspired by Mediterranean and Algarve cuisine.

  • To ensure everything is perfectly prepared for the arrival, guests receive a Menu suggestion 3 weeks prior arrival and may send their meal choices for the first 3 days. This allows us to source the freshest ingredients, especially as local markets are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

    From the menu we sent, guests may select one main course and one dessert per meal. There is also the option of starters or appetisers if you wish to include them.

    Regarding the daily meal service: you may choose two meals per day from the three options — breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

    • For guests who enjoy gathering in the morning, breakfast can be a lovely moment to meet and plan the day. In this case, you might wish to select breakfast and dinner, leaving lunch open for dining out or a more casual arrangement.

    • If your group prefers a slower start or is recovering from jet lag, lunch and dinner may suit you better. The breakfast ingredients will be placed in the fridge so everyone can prepare theirs at their own pace.

    The wish list is very useful for the first shopping to know guests' preferences: what kind of drinks, snacks, goodies they are fond of, if they prefer light products or any other favourite like French/Portuguese cheese, etc.

    This advance selection will help ensure a relaxed and seamless start to your holiday during the first 48 hours. Afterwards you will organize directly with the chef and according to your family daily plan. We usually follow a Mediterranean diet such as grilled meat and fish, sea food, and a lot of greens & fruits on a seasonal basis. 

  • Yes. Daily housekeeping is included to ensure a seamless stay.

  • Absolutely. From candlelit dinners under the pines to family celebrations, our team can organise every detail — including décor, menu, and service.

Experiences

  • Yes. A private deck and pier provide direct access to the Ria Formosa lagoon, where kayaks and paddleboards are available for guest use.

  • Yes. Guests can enjoy a private, crewed motor boat for outings to the beach. The Desert Island remains unspoiled, with no beach bars or facilities. The outings are arranged according to the tides. The chef is available to prepare picnic hampers for your delight on the desert island.

  • Yes. Daily housekeeping is included to ensure a seamless stay.

  • Guests can enjoy golf, cycling, sailing, horse riding, and cultural visits to Faro, Tavira, Olhão, and Cacela Velha.

Location & Access

  • Approximately 30 minutes by car from Faro International Airport. Lisbon is about three hours’ drive via the scenic A2 highway.

  • Yes. Although transfers can be arranged, we recommend a car for exploring the local area and nearby towns at your own pace.

Facilities

  • The villa features two heated swimming pools with views over the lagoon — one ideal for families and gatherings, the other more private and serene.

  • Yes. Villa Lage is family-friendly. Nevertheless, swimming pool s have no surveillance. Please be aware, that is the guest responsibility to ensure the safety of those who do not know how to swim.

  • Yes. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the villa.

Booking & Policies

  • The minimum stay varies by season, typically 4 to 7 nights. Arrangements may be made for smaller groups or shorter stay period. Please send us an email with an inquiry.

  • Yes. A 30% nonrefundable deposit confirms the booking, with the balance due 6 weeks before arrival. 

  • Yes, on request. Villa Lage is an elegant setting for private retreats, family gatherings, or intimate celebrations.
